I am looking for advice if the dock “shore station” that I built for my Getaway is sufficient. I am a first time sailboat owner and not sure what to expect with winds.
The area I am at is very protected, so day to day is not a concern, it’s when a storm rolls in.
I essentially copied my Karavan trailer setup of rollers and tie downs - using 2 x 6 pressure treated wood and the rollers from my trailer.
The four corner posts are heavy duty poles (Tommy Dock) augured in 2 feet with 14” heavy duty square pads clamped to the poles after they were augured in.
The four corners of the getaway are ratchet strapped down to the dock.
I lifted up with all my might on each end of the hulls and I couldn’t get the dock to budge or lift…there was still some elasticity in the straps where the hull would lift a couple of inches from the rollers, which I think is good to have.
I think this is a simple, safe, and secure setup, however I am looking for thoughts from those with experience in docking and securing a Cat.

Thank you!
