Trampoline paint

Mine is yellow and needs a repaint, anyone know what kind of paint for these? and are the cheap trampolines black mesh any good that sell on ebay for around a hundred dollars?

Can't say I have ever heard of painting a trampoline! I wouldn't do it. If it aint mesh, then it is vinyl coated, not painted. As far as the second question, you get what you pay for. They may be nice for the short term, but I don't imagine they would hold up for more than a couple of years before the stitching began to come loose.

There's nothing you can "paint" your trampoline with that will last/look good past it's first use.

You get what you pay for when it comes to trampolines. A $100 tramp is a piece of crap that might last one or two seasons.

A Hobie brand tramp will last for many, many years.

Of all the dumb things I've done (hindsight is 20-20), I've painted my tramp. Didn't like the light blue so I painted it a darker blue with vinyl spray paint.

Looked pretty good at first although it had to be touched up regularly but the real problem was "it's slippery!" As soon as I started flying hulls, that became a big problem. I now have a black mesh! I agree with the guys....buy a Hobie tramp. You won't be sorry.

save yourself a couple hundred dollars and the time...buy yourself a Hobie trampoline

I'm getting ready to install a 1975 trampoline on a 1983 H16 I'm restoring. The '75 boat was covered and tramp removed in the off season. It still has the original hiking straps and is soft and supple to the feel.

I sold an '84 with the original tramp last Sunday. This one was not treated as nice, had been outdoors for ~10 years, straps were partially rotted so I removed them all. Other than color fade she's strong and in great shape.

Why pi$$ away money on an aftermarket tramp that might last what? 5 to 7 years? IMO, a Hobie trampoline will ad value, and aftermarket devalue, a used boat.
