I bought this boat for parts, but discovered it just needed a bunch of elbow grease and some Git Rot. Before:

Wow, what a difference fresh paint did! Is that the expoxy type you mentioned on the crossbar topic? After market tramp... how do you like it and who would you recommend for that? I can't wait to freshen up my newbie.

Max...That looks SHARP! Is it a 1986 by any chance? I have an 86, the hull and tramp colors are identical to yours. Looks like I need to attack mine with a buffer, my hull color looks like yours did in your "before" pic. What did you use on the hulls?

Incredible.
Proof positive of what a bit of sweat equity can do. Inspires me to continue on with mine. Wax on, wax off.

Yes, I used the black epoxy appliance paint. The finish was outstanding, I just hope it lasts awhile. On the hulls, after a tremendous amount of screwing around with different combinations of chemicals and appliacation methods, I found a light grit wet sandpaper was quickest, easiest, and yielded the best results. After the sanding I applied Bar Keepers Friend with a 3m pad, and then several coat of wax.

Don't forget to add your Beer Holders. I just added 2 Beer Holders to my boat. Easy install lol Not factory tramp hole cutting crap. Just Cup holders and couple zipties. Going to need them for the "reckless behavior tour" for sure.
