Anybody have a suggestion for an area to do an overnight camping trip on the Hobie 16 somewhere off the NC coast? I'm in Charlotte and my boat is rearin to get in the water over there... :P

Related note: I would enjoy others joining us for a few boats doing a short trip together-Possibility...

how long are you lookin to stay out? there are plenty of good places around for hobie trips, pamlico sound is a good place, and lookout is always a fun trip, if you dont mind a little chanel sailing to get out.

At least 2 nights out. Are there islands out there that I can hop around to and camp on?
Doesn't get much better than than, combining sailing with camping, I enjoy both!

Where would you put in for Pamlico sound or the other spot? I don't mind the channel sailing no prob.

I am thinking of planning a Sail/Camp trip to False Cape State Park just North of the NC border near VA Beach. I have been to False Cape several times just not by way of hobie. It would be great trip if I could get the logistics worked out.

i would suggest to get a small two person inflateable dinghy to stowe all your gear in. it might be trickey beaching it in rough surf though but could save your @$$ if you pitchpole.

if its a penny for my thoughts but i put my two cents in,.......some one is makeing a penny.
