Thanks Scott !!! ...scored the "Diamond" yesterday.

Interestingly this '84 boat is not an SE and doesn't have a dolphin striker.
I've never seen a 14 newer than '81 without a striker

My '85 didn't have a dolphin striker.

BTW, a 17's dolphin striker fits perfectly on a 14, once you cut down the center post and bend the ends a bit to fit the castings.

J Eaton - Glad you saved it! Let me know when you have it back in shape - I'd love to see it again, if only in photos!

Where do you sail in KS?

Matt, Interesting...and the tramp is/was a Turbo tramp. Great tip on the striker post.
I have a 14 factory rod and post I bought from Jeremy several years ago.

Scott, thought about shooting some pictures before I went to the carwash.
Most of that six years of crud came off...need to hit it with barkeeper's friend next.
This boat has not been sailed much at all, still has the original rudder cams, no wear in the mast bast, and smooth bottoms. :D
Did Ron try to sell you the windmill made out of 55 gallon drums?
we sail at Clinton Lake, one hour West of Kansas City.

Viva la 14 !

He used them as the landmark to find the boat...I kept looking for a "standard" windmill, not that odd design.

I'm glad you took the boat - good luck with the project.
