Just got back from a spectacular day on the lake. High of 77 here in Minneapolis with 15-20 mph winds. Solo trapped all day in shorts and t shirt and thankfully managed to keep the pole skyward. The water is still warm.

Anyone else enjoying the extended season? I know I should be putting her away but I'm not sure it's time! :D

Once the cove I sail out of freezes over,my winter depression sets in....

My buddies and I once went sailing in February and had to slide my 21SE across the ice to get to the water... :D We had a great time...

This weekend in VT. A *little* recourse for a crappy spring. Unfortunately we only got photos of the Pr****e 19. We got another 3 weeks or so before I move on.

I believe I still got a few weeks, but the danger here isn't cold water as much as heavy weather and rapidly changing gusts and stuff...

Hope everyone had a great season, this being my first, was effing awesome.
Had a Hobie summer...

I haven't made use of the warm weather sadly. My boat hasn't been wet since NA's in Maryland last month. Been working like a dog for the last month.

I am hoping to get out more more time this year (in Michigan). If not this weekend - I will put her away for the year. What a bummer!

Indian summer didn't happen this year. Good weather went away with Hurricane Irene and never came back although we had a good race day (Ron Anthony Memorial Regatta) last Saturday.

Sailed ot of "Sail Cove" at Puddingstone (Los Angeles) on Sunday - wind would be great for 10 minutes and gone for 15. Repeated all afternoon - but is was 78 degrees though.

Out sailing today and had a blast! With temps in high sixties and winds 15-20, gusts to 30 made for a perfect fall day on the local lake with several cats, wind surfers, and mono hulls in the mix. Oh, and my dear H16 thought I needed to cool off mid turn with ill timed gust.... Brrrr. Shame some Hobies out there have already been mothballed.
