I have obtained half an SPI spinnaker pole and wanted advice to the finished pole length. (I have the end piece with hoop attached which is 1570mm long (1770mm if you include the inner slide)).

There are many different sizes suggested for the H16 spinnaker pole and I've come to either 3.2 metres or 3.5 metres. From those who have used different length poles is it true that the longer the pole the less downward pressure resulting in less pitch poling?
I have a genuine SPI spinnaker to use.

Cheers in advance, Matt
