Purchased a new Hobie Mesh Tramp in early summer 2013. Holy cheese grater. Went out today and my knees are shredded. Honestly I would probably trade this tramp for a new Hobie Vinyl Tramp if I could! Love the look of it but man it eats you up.

Must be soft winter skin! :)

Sure it is a Hobie Trampoline? Some other types of mesh are really rough.

Yup. Im a snob. Only the best. Ordered from Key Sailing!!!! Installed it literally on the beach in Ft Morgan, AL 2013.

Yes, The knees are tender. It was pretty windy and having to move alot pretty quick. Had my daughter with me and was having to handle Tacking in higher winds and trying to "SMACK", yup, took a header to the head with the boom flying over. She had screamed "ATTACK", that is what she yells when we are tacking. She did not know what else to yell to warn me!!!!!!!
I do like the mesh. I can deal with the cheese grader more than sand and such on top of the vinyl tramps!

Part of your training for the season should be crawling around the house! Gotta toughen up the knees. :)

Went out Sunday. Wind was so strong that I did not worry about the tramp. Let's just say flying a hull I got to see the bottom of the leeward rudder for a second.
