Hi all, this is probably a very stupid question. Has anyone heard of disassembling a Hobie 16 for transportation or storage. Now by disassembling I mean removal of the tramp frame that holds the hulls apart. Please don't think I'm a nut. I saw a ad to purchase a H16 that was 15 yrs old for $2100CDN which I thought wasn't to bad if it came with trailer. When I called they told me they take it apart every year and that it is easy. I am having a problem accepting this and just want to see if anyone else has heard of it before I drive 5 hours to see it.

Assembly and disassembly of the 16 is pretty easy. The most time consuming part is lacing the trampoline sections up.

Thank you all so much I have never heard of this and thought the person that has the H16 was either nuts or didn't have an actually have a Hobie. Thank you for the pic of the truck.
