I have an older holbie and the tell tails are gone but one. I have been reading about tell tails, leech tail and their placement but the information is not about a cat sail boat. Are they different? How many tell tails do I need and were do I put them? Are wind indicators on the stays worth while? Is a bridle fly needed? I sail smaller lakes in Wisconsin so the wind is light to medium and very inconsitant. There seams to be many wind channels and dead spots on every lake.

I don't think you need any of the wind indicators (other than tells). I've got a bridle fly (the one with the little red flag), and since I'm still in the early learning process it is extremely helpful. I personally have a hard time telling exactly where the wind is coming from when I forget to put it on.

Just my (noobish) opinion.
