Your son is a fine young man. I am happy to have been able to help him. I've experienced buyers remorse but this is the first time I've had sellers remorse. I really miss that boat already. I am glad it will be well taken care of. One day I may take you up on your offer.

I'm surprised that no one has suggested it, but something along the lines of a hobie bravo would probably be very manageable until you've regained use of your hand.

I've not sailed a wave, but you could probably handle a wave by yourself, with an inexperienced crew.

when there is a will, there is a way.
