Found it on Craigslist so I'm not sure.

http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/boa/1038549362.html

Lister is also selling aspects of the boat

Would it be a good purchase? $950 for the whole shebang.

any advice?

Impossible to say for sure without more info. Anytime someone lists a Hobie for sale without telling what year it is, I get suspicious.

That said, I see no mast. The advert doesn't mention mast (OK... Yes it does in the "boat" advert. I'm an idiot. But I still don't like the fact that it's not in the picture. And it sure sounds to me like he's advertising a parts boat while not actually calling it that.)

My gut tells me it's a incomplete boat with soft hulls. Not worth the money is my opinion.

If the hull stripe is original, it's an early '80s boat. He does say it has the mast, but Dog's right. You can't tell from an ad - especially with small pictures.

Wanna buy some stripes, Matt?

But seriously. The more read the ad and think about it, I bet this is an abandoned boat and the guy knows jack about it.

There's no registration numbers on the hull, yet I'm pretty sure Florida now has registration requirements on a sailboat that big (Brad, you wanna help us out here?)...

I bet the sell hasn't got title/MSO on the trailer or boat.

Offer him $200 and see what happens?

Can you tell it's slow at the shop?

Actually, I'm just avoiding working on the website.
