Greetings!
I've been lurking on this forum for a week now, sponging up the collective knowledge.
My family has an early 80s H16 that I grew up sailing in MI, mostly on inland lakes and Lake St Clair... Poor thing has been parked naked for quite some time on the family farm (I was busy in college and my dad was crewing on bigger monohulls), and i'll be making a project of getting it back together in the following weeks once I move back up there.
The last few years here in Florida, I've been getting back into it, running the "friendly" weekend races in Sarasota Bay on a Ranger 22 and J24.
I plan on taking a big photo series of the restoration... I imagine that it will need some serious cleaning, possibly painting, but hopefully no major hull repair.
So... Anyone in the Detroit metro area need a fairly useful crew? I'd love some tips getting back on the cat... My goal is by the end of the summer to fly a hull... Something my dad was always reluctant to try back in the day!
