Assuming that 706 is your original sail number, the serial number would be stamped on the outside of the front pylons. If it is indeed there, it will only be a four digit number. Unfortunately, you cannot identify the year from that number. It will either be a '71 or '72.
If the serial number is not on the pylons, then there is a HIN engraved on the transoms. The last two digits will be the model year of manufacture.
