AAAAAwwesome day. Winds at about 20kts, with three foot waves in the intercoastal. We froze, but got some great speed, until a rudder snapped off and ended the day. We got to the ramp and realized the bait shop guy had a derelict hobie he was parting out. We got two blades for $20! Hope this video works! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSDjdiLz-BA

If you hold the tiller behind you, you may have better leverage. The rudder looks to be locked down, but even if it is up a little, it puts extra load on both you and the rudders.


Also, it's a good idea to hold the mainsheet in your hand at all times.
