I was just day dreaming and thought I would share. If a tiger and a 16' were both on a reach, how much faster would the tiger be going? Considering same crew weight and skill.

Well, if you notice, Burley doesn't say anything about racing a course. What he says is "Tiger v.s. H16" on a reach with matching crew weight and experience. Based on that question, I'd have to stand with my previous answer.

However, I'm setting up my H16 with a spi as we speak and I have to say that I'm looking for a little portsmouth competition with an F18. Am I expecting to beat an F18 because of the added spi? NO!!! But I am expecting to do better, at least on the downwind leg. We'll see. What I need to do is to be more competative with the other "one class" H16s.

I was clocked at 19 knots average on a reach without the spin up. Thats with a 150 lb crew on the wire and me 260 sitting on. Got to love the Ditch Run.

What can the 16 do?

Friends of mine were doing 22 knots on a H16 spin when passed easily by a Tiger.
