First, I want to apologize to all that are not from the state of California that have been a victim of the trailering laws that exist here. To trailer in the state of California, you must travel in the slow lane at a speed no greater than 55Mph. The following statement does not advocate the violation of any laws but know that the CHP (California Highway Patrol) typically does not use radar as a tool for speed control. I think that there are 2 units in the entire state and they are assigned in the "bay area." (sorry Jeremey :x ) My experience is that the CHP are not bloodthirsty monitors of California's freeways as they have passed me many times when I was definitely in violation of the speed limit. My typical speed while trailering is 60-65 but I'm constantly watching surrounding traffic and looking in my rearview for the popo.

crazy-skier,
Sorry that it has taken almost a month to answer your question about the cam straps. Also sorry that I do not have a picture handy at the moment. I am at work. The straps I am referring to have hooks at either end and a fitting in the middle that the strap goes through. With the handle of the fitting in the open condition, the strap is elongated. When you flop it in the other direction, it overcenters and shortens the strap. If it is not tight, you open it up and take more strap through the fitting until it is tight when closed. I'll see if I can find one online and them post the link. Again, sorry that it has taken so long to get back to the forum.
