I am experiencing the upper leech of my jib fluttering. I moved the jib leads up one hole in the clew (which is one above center) and it still flutters. The only thing that has changed on the jib is the line which attaches the top of the jib to the luff wire came untied while sailing. I went to the beach and retied it. Could this be the issue if I did not get it where it was originally tied? If so does one want to tie it up pretty tight to the thimble on the luff wire?

Too much tension on the luff could cause the leech to loosen. Try releasing it and tensioning just enough to remove the wrinkles.
