I saw a guy dragging an H16 through the sand by pulling on the dolphin striker. Is that fine? How strong is that thing?

Pretty strong, but if you pull from the bottom of the post, like when winching onto a trailer, you can bend it. It is not a problem to pull up the sand a bit by the rod.
