Hobie 16 frame

Hi all,

I am trying to help a fellow Hobie Cat who is on our forum. Her name is Irene. She is looking for a frame and tramp for her husband's Hobie as a Christmas present.

She lives in Florida. I have found a fairly junked Hobie for $299 in Florida but it is an h14. I think the frame is in good condition. However I don't know if a h14 is the same as an h16. I assume not but it looks the same.

Does anyone know if they are the same frames?

Any help you can give us would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the frames and tramps are different sizes.

People part out boats all the time and you can find parts posted here, in the For Sale section and on TheBeachcats.com. I don't think you will have any problem finding the parts to reconstruct her boat.

Drej, sent me the link to this thread. I am in Virginia and have several H16 frames but have never shipped any of these. I would imagine they could be boxed up and sent out by UPS, not sure of the cost. Do you want me to look into it? I am on holiday at Nags Head this week. but back up in Virginia next week and you did mention a target date of Christmas.
