Can you use your Hobie 16 in such a way as to be strenuous eneough for a work out?

I see some people kick back and easy sailing and others make the ride look allot more exciting and strenuous

Pretty much every trip out on my h16 is a workout. I forgot to take water with me a couple times, totally regretted that mistake!

it is defenitly a workout. Really good upper body workout. Especially if you have to put up your mast each time you go out. I sailed a couple times a week for about a year and got really buff in the arms. Pulling in the mainsheet with a 5:1 system is not easy

Well, that all depends. I consider myself to be in pretty good shape but find myself exausted every time I come off my boat. However, I must interject that I sail solo most of the time. Check out the link below and tell me if you think this would be a pretty good workout for you.

And if this doesn't do it for ya, try capsizing and righting it a couple of times during each sail. Let me know how it goes.

this is a hobie forum... and nacra/prindle are the same company i believe

the boat in the video is a spitfire. But he was only posting the video to show how intense it can be. Cat sailing is Cat sailing no matter what the boat. still same princible and same workout

Pop the rudders and sail with them up a bit. THAT will give you a workout! :P
