the sail colors are my favorite also. I love my Hobie Cat and I love the people you meet when sailing. I figured the Harley guys get tattoos with Harley all the time... why not Hobie guys? I hope some of the younger kids find this sport and give it a try. They seem to like "extreme" sports... sailing is an extreme sport!!! I remember back in the '80's the whole Hobie "lifestyle" i miss it, i wish Hobie would advertise and get people back in to the sport. Glenn

Sailing is definitely not an extreme sport. Cat sailing is a different story. Thats the problem. Im 20. I try to get all my friends to come along and they hear sailing and think of old guys in sperrys and sweaters going slow as hell in their yachts. The funny thing is they have no idea what their missing out on. I have got my friends to come out a couple times but it was only blowing about 10mph and i couldnt show them the true potential. They still have no idea and think im crazy

Tell my 21 year old son that it is not extreme! Two weeks ago we were out and flew the hull all day. We were getting cocky and pitchpoled the boat! after we realized we were not hurt we laughed our asses off, could barely right the boat we were laughing so much. Its pretty extreme to go for a ride into the jib and look up to see the hulls standing striaght up in the air! I love sailing and i Love my Hobie! Dont regret the tattoo either!

I think you misunderstood sgtpepperoni00 ... he's saying that Hobie sailing IS extreme... but monohull sailing is not...

I believe that they both can be... but Hobies are always extreme!!!
