Hello -
I have a 1979 H-16 that I am fixing up. The gelcoat/fibreglass on the bottom of the bottoms is worn to the point where I can see the fibreglass strands. I am assuming that the previous beach it was used on was fairly rocky and the boat was dragged when being beached.

I have seem adverstisments for keel guards for power boats; basically a plastic type strip that is attached via adhesive to the keel to prevent wear. Has anyone heard of this type of product being used on the bottom of a Hobie 16 pontoon?

Appreciate any input or thoughts. Thanks!
