Just bought the 6:1 purchase downhaul system and wondering if there are any specifics on lower attachment to insure all is installed right the first time. Is there a certain "best" location or insurance that it doesn't work loose info? Any thoughts simple as they may be is appreciated.

curious if you got the 6:1 that hobie offers....i went to west marine and bought two ronstan blocks to make my on 6:1 and just ordered the attachment point for the mast thats class legal...its the main traveler plate......i believe (looking at pictures) it just screws in with the screws and mounting bolts to the bottom of the mast....make sure it's tight! maybe a dab of blue loctite to make sure it doesnt work itself loose?

Well from all the pictures ive seen, looks like it just attaches to the bottom. make sure its low enough that you actually have adjustability

File a notch on the mast track at the top end of the plate. This allows the plate to seat into the notch and lock in place when the screws are tight.
