Hi all,

The springs in the Jib Sheet Cam Cleats have gone - those parts on the front crossbars. I unscrewed them off the circular bearing plate. Does Ronstan or Harken etc. make a replacement part that will fit onto the same fitting?

Thanks, Paris.

you can do what i did....buy the harken cams, i think they are 324 part numbers??? anyways, un-screw the old seaway cams and file out the holes in a kinda oblong egg shape....then go buy the correct length screws/bolts/washers and mount it up! i did it to the blocks on my H14t and it made a HUGE difference!

heres a picture for ya!

You can also buy the whole swivel plate assembly. I don't recall the part number, but they're about $65 apiece. They are a lot nicer than the old seaways were.

Like Matt said, new cams won't fit the old seaway stuff. Mine had posts sticking up after I took the cams off. They were wider than the new Harken or Ronstan cams.

(I can't see s30series picture from here, so I can't see what he did)

i put new harken cams on the old sea-way blocks. After i read what he wrote, i realized he was taking about the swivel cams, IE the main traveler cam.

Im sure you can grind down those posts (i know exactly what you're talking about) and then mount the harken cam, but its probbaly easier just to purchase the new harken part. eBay has them for not that much at all!

Yep, you gotta love eBay, what the hell did we ever do before eBay, and cell phones.
