 Post subject: Big Gouge in Hull

Take a look at the pictures. This happened over the summer and now I want to fix it. Would gelcoat work? I haven't worked with the stuff before so I could use some pointers.

Looks like the gel just chipped off. Can't see the glass well, but if intact, just fill with gel coat or gel coat putty.
