Ok so i need to take the rear crossbar off of one hobie and place onto another. Now removal looks simple enough, just drill out the rivets on the corner casting? but how do i rivet them back onto the new corner casting? The only riveting I've ever done you need to be able to get to the other side of the rivet, but that's inside the casting. So how do i reconnect the corner casting when I put on the new rear crossbar?

thanks!

Use Stainless Steel "blind pop rivets".

You will need a heavy duty rivet tool as stainless steel rivets are much harder to pop than alluminum rivets.

The rivets used are "Pop" rivets, also known as blind rivets. You should use monel or stainless steel rivets. DO NOT use aluminum rivets.

You'll want to get a heavy duty rivet tool - that Home D., Lowe's and other major chains don't sell.

Try Harbor Freight Tools.
