Hey everyone! Have been sailing cats for sometime but have never had to install a new tramp. Can you tighten down the tramp with the hulls disconnected? Will it bend the rails out of proportion? I need to transport the entire boat without the use of a trailor so I need to break it down as much as possilble.

Appreciate any input.

Haven't tried it but I would think a frame with tightened tramp would be difficult to install on the hull pylons. I'd put install it and tighten it by hand and then once it's all installed on the hulls go back and give it a final tighten. For what it's worth...
