My Harken 6:1 suddenly quit ratcheting this afternoon. It now free wheels (no binding) - but does not ratchet. Nothing appears broken. It looks exactly like this one (w/o the red):

Is there a way to open this thing up & inspect for a problem? It happened today while sailing in 30 mph gusty winds (if that helps). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: I can't delete this post or I would  .

I'm sitting here at my desk w/ the Harken & just realized that little black post on the side slides up & down. I slide it up & the rachet mechanism turned on. I feel like an idiot now.. but it's not the first time.

As I was reading the post my first thought is that the ratchet was turned off with the side switch. This can happen just by the line hitting it.

No problem with the post, it happens. :D
