I'm looking at replacing my Hobie 16 standing rigging and wondering what y'all's suggestions might be when it comes to the shrouds- 1/8" or 5/32", standard or hydraulic swage?

Also, what is proper length for the shrouds today? Has this changedsince my boat was produced in 1986?

Thanks for all of your help.

If the forestay hasn't been replaced recently I would add that and the bridles too. I would just order OEM equipment and be done with it. It will be the correct length and diameter.

We shortened the shrouds in April of '94 to 18' 11", so yours are likely the same.

The standard wires are fine at 1/8" and standard swedges.

Where is a good place to order pre-measured/manufactured shrouds for the H16? Thanks.

Your local Hobie dealer has them.
