We just bought a used 16 for our daughter and we need a decent trap harness. If anybody has one that they want to sell at a bargain price, let me know.

In terms of size the users of the harness would all be between 110 and 140 lbs and about 5.5 ft tall.

We also have a jib with holes, so if anyone has a solid yellow jib (non roller) that is in decent shape, that they can part with, we may be interested.

One last question. The shrouds on our boat are looking pretty kinked up. The boat is an 83, we think. Are all the shrouds the same length, or did they vary through the years? I think I read somewhere that the boats started to be sailed with more rake as the years went on. Does this mean they have shorter shrouds and longer forestay, or is it all in the adjusters.

Phil

You might want to try this guy to see if he has what you need. He specializes in used H16 parts. Sorry for the idiotically long link.

If your shrouds are kinked I would definitely buy new ones. I do believe the new ones are shorter, but I purchased a new chainplate to add to the other one on the bridles to compensate for the forestay not reaching the one chainplate. Works fine.
