David,

I just bought the Harken 57 mm Carbo Ratchmatic Triple / 150 Cam-Matic / Becket Harken part number 2630 Lower and a Harken 57 mm Carbo Triple / Swivel / Becket part number 2605 upper block rigged it as a 7:1 and am very very happy with the upgrade. They say these blocks are a bit hard to adjust the cleating angel but I can not say as I have not had a need to do so yet.

Also, I got 44' of Maffioli Swiftcord 9MM What an upgrade from the orig Sea Way blocks.

I found a place that sells this equipment at a fraction of the price but am reluctanct to publize <-- this info as I made that mistake on Catsailer.com and have decied not to do this again.

Good luck
Sam

David,

2.25 inches divided by 0.0396 (one millimeter) is 57 millimeters and some change.

Yes the 57mm or 2 1/4" blocks are the way to go. Gives you a shorter stack height from traveller car to boom, allowing for more mast rake to depower the rig.

I used the 40mm carbo top and the 2.25 harken on the bottom, this is the best system I have used yet! Step down to 5/16" line and 1/4" on the jib

Thanks,
Brad Stephens
