Word of caution - I called my 16 "Cat-Astrophe" and last weekend the mast step link hinge broke whilst unstepping the mast, resulting in a torn off tendon on my left wrist (tried to stop the mast swinging forwards into my kids). Not really superstitious but...Just Sayin' :(

My daughters H16. She wants to name it Tramp-Tramp! Not flattering for her but she has my sense of humor!

I can't help you on the name... BUT when I buy a boat I always ask the owner if she has a name as its BAD LUCK to rename a boat they say. That being said I like the Cat's A$$ suggestion metioned above! My first Hobie was properly named Goat's Head Soup by the way so that's taken! Good luck.

Chris,
I was just goiong to touch on that! Good call!

There is however a naming ceremony that will completely erase any bad juju from renaming a boat. It involves a bunch of alcohol, and various sundry other unmentionables.

Make sure you do the ceremony correctly if your boat had a name before!

You may have to do it a couple of times to get it right.

My fishin boat is Reel Knotty

At first my wife named the hobie "Not In My Back Yard" or NIMBY. I was going to go with "Knot Fishing" to keep the knot in the fleet. Since I'm not finished restoring her yet I think I have changed my mind yet again. I'm in sales so now i'm leaning towards "A Sail's Call".
