I have been reading this forum for years now and have finally convinced my wife to try a H16. The trouble is finding one. I was wondering if the price is right for one we looked at this weekend. They are asking $1750 and would only go down $100. I think the price is high after researching, but would like to hear your opinions.
1980 H16
-Hulls are good with no soft spots, and even have a little shine to them. Some cracks from impacts where the decks overlap the hulls.
-original tramp that needs to be replaced soon
-original sails, little crispness left but show 31 years of use, hobie decals gone, tear near bottom where it feeds into the mast.
-upgraded main block
where are you located, I have one to sell at a much lower price.
-aussie halyard
-double trap but no harness
-original rudders and mast, both in good condition
-All lines need to be replaced
-Trailer is in good condition
Not interested in being class leagal, I just want to get on the water! I told my wife I could find one for $1200, what year and condition can I get for that, I feel this boat should be around that price. Thanks for the help!
