Is it a good idea to loosen the cunniham before I tried to right the boat to prevent the boat from tipping to the other side ?

I can't think how it would make too much of a difference, really.

The main thing is to un-cleat the main and traveler. Loosening off the cunningham won't make a difference as far as I can see.

It helps to loosen the downhaul, not necessarily required. The problem with keeping the downhaul tight is that it pulls shape into the sail which causes the sail to "cup" water. Loosening everything will make the boat easier to right.

Freeing the mainsheet and traveller and pointing the bows into the wind are the most important things.
