Hi all,
Just wanted to take a second to say that this site is very helpful, there are some great online communities for the cat guys and this is one, very nice to have something specific to a cat. Kudos to the admins and members.

Since my first couple posts get filtered to make sure that I'm not a spam bot I thought that I would shoot out a quick intro.

I just got a 81 H16 "cat fever" looking forward to taking it out very soon, she needs a new mast but that shouldn't be hard to find at all. I'm thinking comp tip, I'm also going to need a complete double trap setup soon with hiking stick and all, and the harken blocks, if anyone has anything let me know. The upgrade list is getting long already. Haha

I'm excited to get out and sail with some people, if anyone in the west Michigan area is going out and wouldn't mind helping out a new to h16 guy in a sailing session please let me know. I'll be looking out for some regattas in the local clubs.

Nice to meet you all, take care

Hook up with Hobie Fleet 519 on Austin Lake (Kalamazoo/Portage).

Talk to Dave Steimsma - 269-323-2822.

They race on Tuesday evenings and have a very healthy 16 fleet. Dave will probably let you launch from his yard.

Awesome!!!!
Thanks again mbounds! (You've hooked me up twice on my first day in this group). I was going to head down to Austin lake and try to get with those guys, I wasn't sure if it would have been weird or not without knowing anyone. I'll contact Dave.

Hey there - I am bit south of you in the Sister Lakes/Dowagiac area. Have been bitten by the bug as well - may check out that group in Kalamazoo one of these days...
