I needed lacing for my tramp, so I went out and bought some cheap 3/8'' polypropylene rope thinking it would be sufficient. Once I got the stretch out of it, the cheap rope seemed to work great. But yesterday, right as I stepped the mast and walked forward on the tramp, the lacing in the spot where I had just stood snapped. I feel lucky that I am not in the hospital right now. So obviously I don't want to take another chance with that stuff to save a few bucks. I would just buy the kit from Hobie but the closest dealer is three hours away. Does anyone know a durable material that is commonly available that is good for the purpose of tramp lacing? Thanks.
