My question is, the bottom of my 16 all the gel coat has been ground off to the fiberglass. The rest of the boat is fine. What be the best repair for that problem?

Thanks

Your boat needs a "bottom job." There are numerous threads about how to do it on this forum - do a search. There is also an article in one of the on-line Hotline issues about how to do it.

The basic procedure is to flip the boat over, fill in all the scratches and dings on the bottom, then apply gelcoat. If the fiberglass layer is also badly worn, you need to laminate some glass first to build up the bottom of the hull.

You can also find more info, as well as hull templates on the support page - click the link at the top of this page (link: http://www.hobiecat.com/support/products/sailboats/ )
