Hello, I recently acquired an '88 Hobie 16, but it needs some repairs.

The right hull has a couple gashes and a soft spot surrounding those gashes. The damaged area is just ahead the front pylon. I was wondering the best way to approach repairing the hull.

My current plan is to repair the damaged fiber glass first and then drill and inject epoxy. Is there a better way or something I'm not considering in this plan?

Any advice is appreciated!

There was a good article by Rick Buchann in the May/June 2008 issue of Hotline on pages 16-17, "This Old Hobie: Blind Hole Repair".
