if for no other reason than to remove posts that seem to be cluttering up the forums lately--you know, the ones about slutty nurses and free prescription drugs?

i know i'm new, but i'm sure i'm not the only one getting annoyed.

We've been getting a LOT of thes wasteful posts on a kiteboarding site that i'm a moderator on lately too. I delete maybe 20 per day.
We absolutly need a moderator here too to get rid of the bogus posts.

The guys at hobie cleared some of them out this morning, but I think the thing is, some of us check the site on the weekends when the mods aren't around.

Either way, no biggie, but my offer to delete spam posts stands.

I'll offer to delete them too. It's really not the end of the world to me either if they are up there but it is kinda annoying.

it's making it a lot harder to just browse the forums since there are about ten spam posts for every one legitimate post. i'll happily volunteer to delete them, as well.

We are working on it. I am hoping for a mod install to prevent some of the bogus posters, but alot of them are actually human I think... work at home scams.

I will review the moderator option.

if they are humans, how about a test question before validating them, such as "Hobie builds

beach cats
kayaks
surfboards
none of the above
all of the above

and it would force them to do some research, which they probably wouldnt bother with...
