Although I've already decided to seal my mast for racing, alot of you guys provided good information in my previous post. Since I currently have the baby-bob on there, I would like to be able to use it in case I capsize when I eventually go dip it in salt water to guarantee that it don't turtle.

I was thinking there is probably a way to take the Bob and make a custom connection so it's easy to remove and attach. That way, I can take it off for racing, and reinstall it easily for cruising. Have any of you already done something similar? If not, any ideas how I might get started with this engineering project?

I have a comp-tip mast. The top of the mast has this pulley: http://www.murrays.com/50-20614001.html

Thanks!

I take mine off for trailering every time I use it. There are two screws and nuts holding it on. Only takes a couple of minutes to put on or take off.
