I need to replace my shrouds. My sails are older (83’), so they won’t cooperate with the modern rake settings on the 16. Is there a shroud length for the older set up? Currently, I have the shrouds at the lowest location on the plates. I know newer shrouds are shorter, but by how much? Do you think I could maintain my approximate rake with newer shrouds attached higher on the plates?

I’m a little over an hour away from my boat right now or I would just tip her over and measure them. I’d like to avoid the drive if possible and would love to have a new set to install the next time I go to the club. I’d rather not sail until they are replaced as there are some visible signs of fatigue.

Does anyone know of the length?

Yes... new shrouds are shorter, so move newer ones up in the adjuster plates to get to where you used to be in Rake.

Thanks! I didn't know how significant the difference was. I appreciate the quick reply.
