I read on another thread on here about a guy wanting to know if you could put a H18 on H16 trailer but I want to do the reverse and I would think you could has anyone tried or used an H18 trailer for their H16?

I'm sure you could, I just put an 18 on a 16 trailer and drove it over 200 miles.

You can - but you will almost certainly need to adjust the width between the rollers / cradles.
