I don't think anyone actually sails in the Portland area. This is the 4th or 5th shout out I've done and have gotten zero takers! I think I'll duck away from the forum and return when I move somewhere that I can actually find a local enthusiast!

A lot of Hobie sailors don't show up here. Here's the address for Fleet 72 Facebook's page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hobie-Fl ... 3102419449 I'd try using the Facebook page. It looks reasonably accurate.

Sorry that you had no takers.
If you want to drive north for a long weekend, I would be happy to sail with you.
I sail on the sound and on lake Whatcom just south of Bellingham Wa. You can keep your boat on the beach for the weekend on the lake.

there is an active hobie fleet in pdx as mentioned as well.
This is just a short haul south and coming right up! Always lots of 16's.

Hi John!

I'm in Portland and bought an old Hobie last year. I've had it out a bunch and have yet to see another Hobie... I guess it's just us haha :)

Let me know if you're still looking to sail!

That sounds great! I'll try to make a trip down to Cultus or Odell this summer and we can meet up.

I'll be in touch!

Anytime...just let me know. Odell is big wind sailing. Launch/camp at trapper creek on west end. Cultus is a bit tamer but still gets great wind pretty consistently.
