Can Anyone tell me how many inches of compression should be applied to the sidebars (with the main blocks) when replacing the lacing on the trampoline ? Would appreciate any info. Thanks.

Happy Sailing,

David

About 1.5" of deflection is not hard to achieve with the mainsheet. They'll pop back some when you release the pre-tension.

Is that 1.5" "each side" or "overall" ?

Each side.

Looking at the photo, it may be less than 1.5" - but that was as much as I could get it to go with the mainsheet.

Bottom line - you are not going to hurt the sidebar or the trampoline unless you're built like a gorilla.

Thanks. You've addressed all my concerns. I want to do all this now so I wont have to do it during the season. Thanks again.

Happy Sailing,

David
