I need to replace the boom on my Hobie 16. The boat is a 2005. I have been hearing conflicting information about used booms. Does anyone know if the boom has changed over the years? I have been told that older booms may have a tapered track to accept sails with the plate at the tack as opposed to those with just the grommet.. And the newer (I don't know how "new") booms have a "straight away" track. I know that the number of and placement of the block hangers has definitely changed over the years. Thanks!

The boom extrusion is the same for all years on the Hobie 14 and 16.
