I am looking for some new sails for my 80s hobie 16, and came across Intensity sails which are heavily discounted right now. Ive heard of them for lasers and I thought they were regarded somewhat well, but does anyone have experience with them for a hobie 16? Thanks

As long as you are not racing... They would not be class legal.

I have a main sail I bought 3 years ago from them. The problem with them is the bolt rope is smaller than what is used by Hobie and makes it hard to hoist because it will pull through the slot so I had to feed in every inch, but it never pulled out once up. That BS took too long and lasted one season before I bought a Hobie sail which is well worth the price.
If you'd like to try a lightly used one, I'll take $150.00 for it plus shipping

I got the sails and they actually are quite nice. They seem to be a little heavier than the factory sail, I contacted them and they said they make it a little heavier to last longer. The cloth seems to be really nice and crunchy and the seams all look just fine. For me the boltrope is the correct size and feeds just fine. I guess we'll see how it holds up but im very satisfied.
