I think if they are stored indoors in almost any climate, and well taken care of, the hulls last a long, long time. We raced this past weekend on Lake Higgins in Michigan, and one of the best performing boats was a 1972 with zero upgrades to it. The young guy sailing it was very good, but he was competing with guys they sailed in Worlds last year and did well. It was his first few times racing with CRAM and ended up winning the B-fleet.
Now I have to come up with a new excuse, I can no longer blame the age of my boat!
