Aussie jib halyard vs Traditional jib halyard

Im looking to replace my Jib haylard and im wondering if i should spend the extra cash and buy the Aussie Jib Haylard. Can anyone tell me anything about the Aussie Jib Haylard...Yes/No. Will I be able to use a roller furler with it? I just bought my first hobie 16 (1985) last fall and have had a blast with it so far this summer...just got on one hull yesterday...oh yeah, what an amazing feeling. Anyways im still new to hobies and any advise would be great.

You cannot use the Aussie system with a furler.

The Aussie system along with a cheek block on the side of the mast will allow you to tension the rig better and keep the jib halyard clear of the jib battens.

I used the same blocks as in the link, I love being able to tighten it all up so well, makes it a much tighter run ship, if you will =)

No roller furler, I tried it, but all the legnths don't work out, plus I didn't feel too good about putting all that tension on the h16 roller furler hardware (higher rated spinner/furler might be a different story, but it really seemed to just be too much trouble in the end).
