Just picked up my new toy. Will love the yellow color once I rework the oxidized gelcoat. The question…should I replace the single hole mast tang with the newer 3 hole version? And…what’s the purpose of the other two smaller holes on the new one? Thanks in advance…Bob from Escanaba

Smaller holes are for trap wires...pin through top hole, bow through bottom. No need to replace yours, though. Rig it like this: https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=67229&p=320182&hilit=tang#p320182

If the condition of the existing mast tang is otherwise ok, then I would keep it as is. If you try to replace it, it is likely that you could run into misalignment issues between the old rivet holes in the mast and the mounting holes in the new tang.
